Hirer Responsibilities
While the dress is in the Hirer’s possession:
- Inspect your dress and notify Dress to Impress AU of any defects or damages within 4 hours of pick-up of the garment/receiving the garment.
- Use accessories that are smooth and without rough embellishments to protect the fabric of the garment.
- Do not attempt to iron, alter or clean the garment in any way.
- Do not apply fake tan within 48 hours of wearing the dress.
The Hirer will incur extra costs for damages to the garment and any specific cleaning required outside the standard, which is included in your hire fee, or for late returns. For a dress that is not repairable due to damages the hirer will be charged the replacement value of the dress as displayed on our website.
Deposit and Exchanges
1. The dress is secured once full payment is made through our website (dresstoimpress.au), in person, or through bank transfer.
2. Exchanges: Clients can exchange their hire garment, up to 1 month before their booking date, subject to availability. This does not apply to a rescheduled booking date (additional costs may be required).
Cancellations
1. Once payment has been made there are strictly no refunds. If you wish to cancel your booking, please contact us immediately. For unusual circumstances a store credit may be issued.
Once the hire period has begun, hire fees are strictly non-refundable.
- In an unlikely event where a garment has become no longer available. Dress to Impress AU reserves the right to cancel a hire at any time before the garment is collected by the Hirer by giving written notice and refunding any amounts paid to the client. An event which may constitute this is the irreparable damage, loss, or theft of the garment from a previous client, or the inability to deliver the garment on time limited by another booking. Dress to Impress AU shall endeavor to find a replacement garment suitable to the client, however, shall not be liable for any other loss or damage arising from such a cancellation.
- For circumstances beyond our control, for example, a government cancellation of an event due to public health, a credit note will be issued.
Cleaning and Alterations
Professional cleaning is included in your hire cost and you agree that no attempts will be made to clean, alter, or iron the garment. Dress to Impress AU shall not be held liable for any health-related complaints associated with a product hired from our studio. Our products have been worn by other consumers prior to your rental. Dress to Impress AU cleans the garments in between hires.
Hire period and Late Fee Policy
The hire period is 4 days and may commence once payment is complete and the client takes receipt of the hire garment. The Hirer agrees to return the garment on the day that the hire period ends. When the garment is not returned by the agreed date Dress to Impress AU will charge additional hire fees until returned. The Hirer authorises Dress to Impress AU to charge the additional fees if the garment is not returned or posted on time. These additional charges shall be charged at a fixed rate of $20 AUD per day for each day overdue.
If the Hirer has not returned the garment within 14 days after the return date Dress to Impress will consider the hire dress as non-returned and will charge the Hirers credit card 100% of the recommended retail value of the dress.
Defects
The Hirer acknowledges that the hire dress that they are hiring may not be in its original condition and may show signs of slight wear and tear.
The Hirer shall inspect the dress on collection and notify of any significant defects or damage to the garment.
Incorrect Fit
Once the garment is received by the Hirer there are strictly no refunds. Dress to Impress AU offers local Toowoomba try-ons in the studio so that the Hirer is satisfied with the size/fit of the garment, although if that is not possible and you still have concern, look into our BACKUP program.
Risk/Insurance
Dress to Impress AU retains full ownership of the garment. The Hirer accepts full responsibility for the safe keeping of the garment and agrees to treat our product with the upmost of care. If the garment gets lost, stolen, damaged, soiled or stained beyond repair then the hirer will be liable to pay for the replacement of the garment. Dress to Impress AU will review the replacement value based on the availability to be able to purchase the dress again, the demand and popularity of the dress in the present market and the rental hire cost that the hirer has already paid.
